Long Island City is a sprawling area, and one of New York’s up and coming neighborhoods.

Klimer is supplying 13 mast climbing work platforms, ranging from 180 feet up to 375 feet high.

The installation of the mast-climbers has been challenging and dynamic, working with only 50ft between the building and Long Island’s subway and railway systems.

The biggest challenge overcome by strict scheduling and efficient project management has been the delivery and movement of equipment because of the limited staging area.

The use of a crane has assisted in the installation of the mast-climbers between buildings and transit systems.

Once fully installed, mason contractors as well as building envelope contractors will complete the tile and panel exterior.
