Job Summary:

The individual will assemble, install and operate mast climbing work and transport platforms (powered scaffolding) on construction sites. Travel is expected and may extend to the United States as well as internationally. While on job sites you will be working with all levels of contacts. Being an effective, knowledgeable communicator is important.

Installers work in all types of weather (rain or shine) with 80% of your time being outdoors. Most of our equipment is installed for access to buildings at heights 3-4 floors plus. Being comfortable with heights is essential.

Skills required:

  • Mechanical skills are essential, and some hydraulic or electrical skills are an asset
  • Working at Heights (Fall Arrest) Certification
  • Previous experience in construction, landscaping or similar labour intensive work environment
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Customer service experience and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent English communication skills – both oral & written
  • Ability to read schematic drawings is an asset
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Willing to travel regularly, including overnight (travel expenses paid by employer)
  • Involves labour intensive, physically demanding work, therefore the ability to lift and carry safely is essential

Job Summary:

The individual will service and repair equipment, on site service calls and phone diagnostics. Maintain equipment to ensure rental ready and maintain an organized shop.

Most of our equipment is installed for access to buildings at heights 3 to 4 floors and higher. Being comfortable with heights is essential.

General Summary:

Responsible for providing IT support for all Klimer branches, including PC & software readiness, Email and PC performance troubleshooting, hardware repair, desktop configuration for applications, network support and Business systems or Business Management Systems support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

– follow company IT procedures to respond to users support needs.

– fully understands and assists users to comply with company IT policies and procedures.

– coordinate PC & software procurement

– perform PC, upgrades & software deployment for local users and remote office users for all branches.

– provide support for Windows O/S, MS Office with focus on virus protection.

– troubleshoot PC performance issues; examine and clean up unauthorized software.

– work with third party vendor for hardware warranty service and arrange hardware repair.

– provide network connectivity support with general understanding of network router, switch, LAN, wireless LAN, VPN, Firewalls and basic

understanding of Windows server and Windows IP configurations.

– maintain user accounts.

– maintain PC equipment inventory, software license tracking and other supporting documents.

– maintain and develop procedure documentation.

– understand desktop configuration requirements for various business applications, ie. Businessvision, BV Essentials, Quotewerks, etc.

– coordinate new application rollout and support.

– available to work weekends and provide on-call support.

– prepare and oversee business reports with Crystal Reports.

– assist with input and maintenance of equipment and materials inventory data management.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:

– Post secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science and/or related educational background/training, certificates or diplomas

– Microsoft Windows/Server Experience and Microsoft Office

– experience in networking fundamentals

– experience in building and troubleshooting computers and network devices

– virus and spyware solutions

– data storage and disaster recovery solutions

– routers, firewalls, VPN, RDP, Hyper-V

– experience with html & css

– knowledge of various business applications such as BusinessVision, BV Essentials, Quoteworks, etc.

Klimer Platforms Inc. manufactures sells, rents, and services mast climbing work platforms and transport platforms for the commercial construction industry.
